THE RUNCIBLE JONES SERIES
The Runcible Jones Series is a fantasy adventure for all ages from 10 to adult. The series is set on two twinned worlds:
- An Earth rather like our own but with two important differences
- magic is illegal though no one seems to know why, and power
is vanishing from power stations all over the world.
- Iltior, an unspoiled world where everything is brighter and more beautiful; where everyone can use magic but science is forbidden. A world where people are being corrupted by resonances passing across the void from Earth, and the great magicians of Iltior are determined to do something about it.

Runcible Jones and the Buried City

In this adventure, Runcible and Mariam are in even worse trouble, for Lord Shambles has returned, stronger than ever. Once he finds the lost Citadel of Magic there will be no defence against his dreadful sorcery - and with it he plans to take over the world of Iltior, then drive Earth back to the Dark Ages.
To stop Shambles, the children must defy his Night Stalkers, journey back to wondrous Iltior and descend to the uttermost pole. But even if they find the Codex of Dreadful Spells, Runcible still has to unravel the mystery of the tainted children then face his most terrifying nightmare - the sting of the giant scorpion.
Runcible Jones and the Frozen Compass
On a freezing night, Lord Shambles shatters the tower where the children are learning magic. Runcible, Mariam and their friends run for their lives. All Iltior now lies in the dreaded sorcerer's hands and, as soon as he steals the children's unique magic, he will attack Earth.
As they are hunted across Iltior, Runcie realises that there is only one way to attack their enemy. The children must sneak into his terrible fortress and there Runcie has to take on Shambles, the greatest sorcerer in the world, all by himself.
Runcible Jones and the Backwards Hourglass
After every defeat, Lord Shambles returns stronger than before, and more determined to punish humanity. Having crushed all resistance on magical Iltior, he moves the war to Earth, an Earth that is on the verge of collapse.
Unfortunately, Earth's weapons are useless against this enemy. Only Runcible Jones can stop him, though it's an impossible battle - a fourteen-year-old boy against the most terrible sorcerer on two worlds. Runcie will need every bit of his courage and cunning to save Earth.
And this time, someone close to him is going to die.
